Duck Dynasty – Jase and Missy: Building A Foundation On Christ

Duck Dynasty Jase and Missy: Building A Foundation On Christby Chris Banescu –
Jase and Missy Robertson one of the husband and wife couples from Duck Dynasty, the highest rated series in A&E’s history, take every opportunity to publicly proclaim their faith in Christ and recognize God’s supremacy in their lives. Jase and Missy were recently interviewed at the “K-Love Fan Awards” in June and were not shy in sharing their Christian values and referencing the importance of God as the foundation in all things. They emphasized how their strong moral values helped them remain pure before marriage and how those same principles strengthened their family ever since. Both expressed their firm belief that placing God first is very important in life.

It is reassuring and inspiring to see the Robertson family publicly and steadfastly bear witness to Christ and consistently proclaim the moral principles that truly matter in life. In the midst of the tsunami of superficiality, corruption, and immorality that floods our television screens daily, their testimonies are a welcome and much needed light unto others.

Here are some of Jase and Missy’s comments from that interview.

Jase Roberston
“If you realize what true happiness is, which to me is God, people, and then whatever else is number 3… with me it’s ducks.”

Missy Roberston
“What attracted us to each other was what we saw in each other in our faith.”

“And we have our core values as a family and we’ve kept them. And that’s our number one priority and making sure that our kids know that so they also will have the same values; no matter what circumstances come your way. If God is your solid foundation, good or bad [circumstances], you’re going to be happy, you’re going to be joyous if you’re in Him. And that’s what we stand on.”

if everybody chose to do it God’s way the world would be a lot better off

Jase Roberston
“Just to prove her [Missy] point that it was a godly thing, we were both virgins when we got married until our wedding night. And we decided to do it God’s way. We basically had a godly agreement that we would help each other get to heaven. A lot of people think that’s unreasonable or preposterous. … That’s strange. You know, if everybody chose to do it God’s way the world would be a lot better off.”

Missy Roberston
“And what an influence we can have on our children because of that testimony. Our older son Reed has been dating a great girl for over a year and a half and they also have the same commitment. So, it’s such a wonderful, joyous time for the parent to be able to see that commitment that they have as children and wanting to do that also.”

We do it because we trust in God and we believe His way is the better way in all things in life.

Jase Roberston
“Look, we do this not because we’re representing some organization. We do it because we trust in God and we believe His way is the better way in all things in life.” …

“I’m going to use whatever God blesses me with as a platform to tell the world: look God is for you, He proved it through sending sending Jesus down here to die here for us and to be resurrected. And for us that gives us second chances and it gives us hope. And so, we spread that message everywhere. Look if God can use us, He can use anybody.”

May God continue to bless Duck Dynasty and the faithful Robertson family for their faithfulness to Christ and their Christian values, and for bearing witness to the truth to so many others. They give us great hope that in the battle for the heart and soul of America, God is continually working to remind and reassure us of His love, Truth, and wisdom.
